The HEALTH+ Omega 3 Triglyceride Fish Oil Capsules contain 500 mg of eicosapentaenoic acid and 250 mg of docosahexaenoic acid per capsule. In general, omega-3s, but especially EPA and DHA, can reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems by lowering the potentially harmful LDL cholesterol in the blood and increasing the protective HDL cholesterol. In addition, EPA and DHA are said to have anti-inflammatory properties. In this way, they not only protect the blood vessels, but can also alleviate chronic inflammatory diseases, which have come more and more into focus when identifying the causes of numerous chronic diseases.
Omega-3 fatty acids are also valuable sources of energy. With the help of L-carnitine, they are introduced into the mitochondria and used there to generate energy. In addition, omega-3 fatty acids play a special role in regulating blood sugar and blood pressure. For example, DHA can open certain calcium-dependent potassium channels in the muscles of the vessel walls, causing the vessels to expand and blood pressure to drop. The fish oil triglyceride capsules have a very low oxidation value (below the detection limit), which means that no or no detectable reaction has yet started. The capsules are not at risk of oxidation when stored well - i.e. protected from light and, above all, UV light. During the refining of the fish oil it contains, metallic compounds can also be removed without leaving any traces. Last but not least, the capsule shell forms a certain barrier for air and the oxygen from it.
