The Hamburg-Köln Connection
The Cologne-born author Esat Batman made his first steps as a rapper in 1998 and has been making music ever since, for which he writes all the lyrics himself. In 2000 he met Amok and HKC and in 2007 he released his first solo album. Esat has also had some features on other artists' albums - most notably Dr. Knarf und Amok - and he's currently working on a new album (which we're really excited about)!
His main motivation for writing and publishing this book was that his story had completely changed his life and he wanted to share his experiences with others. Putting his memories on paper was a kind of therapy for him to process what he had experienced.
